CalPERS Project
CalPERS Project
California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) Functional Optimization (FO) Project
The Functional Optimization project is a collaboration between CalPERS and Voyatek to optimize the My|CalPERS pension system. The system includes JSP, JSTL, XML, Spring 2.0, and Oracle 10g components. Workflow originally implemented with Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) was replaced with a custom implementation. Oracle Universal Content Management (UCM) is used for document imaging, management, and storage of imaged content.
Voyatek and CalPERS each played a significant role in the multi-year effort to optimize My|CalPERS, a Java-based system built on the Oracle technology stack. The project utilized blended teams to manage multiple releases on an ongoing basis, adjusting what the team works on as needed, resulting in a quicker time-to-market for each initiative.
